I love this stuff, can't live without it. I'm in Los Angeles. About a year ago, the local chain pharmacy stores stopped carrying it, so now I get it off Amazon. I have the hippest old lady hair in LA. Everyone wants to know how I do what I do. I tell them, Short Sexy Hair Control Maniac Wax. They still don't believe me. P.S.: 64 is the new 55. No one believes my real age, either. Youth in a jar.

I bought this product just after I decided to grow my short, super straight, and heavy hair into some longer layers. The bad news is, I often get a little too impatient and end up growing for a few months and then get fed up with how miserable it looks... I end up back where I started with short hair again.

So, I decided to buy a few hair products to help me along the way and hopefully get me through those tough growing phases. This was one of the products that I tried.

The PROs: It has a nice scent, and it gives a great shine to hair. It's half decent at 'separating' hair to give a sectioned or 'piecy' look. If you have dry hair, this might work really well to avoid further daily damage.

The CONs: It's a bit expensive for the amount you get, but keep in mind that with good hair products, a little will go a long way. Still, I did buy a product very similar to this for roughly $4 from my local Wal Mart a few months ago, and the texture was the same but it smelled a lot worse - more like a waxy church candle. The other major con is that this product will add significant weight to your hair. It's waxy in texture which will make a soft style go flat. Hair spray will not work well once you've applied this product as it tends to coat the hair once you've worked it through even dry hair.

If you have hair with body or curly hair, this would probably work just fine as a finishing product. If you're looking for a product that will give significant hold or a body boost, then this is not the product for you. If you're looking for the later, I'd recommend Short Sexy Hair "Frenzy" for you instead.

This product takes your hair from boring just sitting on your head to WOW. You can style your hair to go any way you want. A very small amount on your fingertip will hold your hair in place for hours. No need for hairspray when this product is applied. I love to travel with it as it eliminates the need for every other syling product you would otherwise take. It also will not leak all over your other stuff in the suitcase.

I have shiny, thick, FINE hair. I wore it short and flat for a good decade and decided to spike it up for Halloween 2001. I found this stuff is a salon and when the girl demoed it on my air my hair looked SO GOOD they almost charged me for a cut style and blow dry. I have not had flat hair since. (My hair dresser let terrible she had not been able to do that for me!)

It feels as though there is NOTHING on my hair, but it looks terrific and fluffs up with a finger run through. NOTHING else is like it I have tried them ALL.

Great hold for a spikey fun look! Smells great. A little expensive for 1.8 oz??? I use it nearly every day and it lasted for MONTHS! It's worth every penny!
