4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely a good product.
I use this Seymour Duncan product on my 12 string guitar. It picks up each string surprisingly well. The sound hole pickup makes my guitar sound extremely natural through my acoustic amp... as in... there's not an electric sounding twang on each note... which you generally have with any regular acoustic electric guitar. For the price this is definitely worth getting.

versus
2.0 out of 5 stars Ehhhhh.
Besides the buzzing which Customer Service told me was normal. You have to EQ this thing like crazy because it picks up the highs so bad. I have noise canceling headphones on so I can hear what it sounds like straight from the amp, and I can barely make out the bass strings. I even slanted it towards the bridge like a few people have suggested. :\. Not sure how this got...

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Value, Look, and Sound, November 6, 2009

I've owned a Seymour Duncan Woody for several months now, and have had a chance to try it out with various amps, with the pickup tipped for a stronger low end or high end, and so on. This is an excellent value and is basically as feedback free as you're likely to get from an acoustic guitar pickup. The one thing I've found is that I get a significantly more natural acoustic guitar sound playing the Woody through my Ampeg bass amp than through my Peavey guitar amp. The high ends are too grating through an electric guitar amp and there's a tendency for distortion to creep in, even with the clean setting. Through the bass amp, though, the tone is absolutely clean and clear. The pickup is easy enough to install and remove and it's easy to get it to sit low enough that it doesn't interfere with finger picking any more than any other sound hole pickup would. The other great feature of this pickup is the look; the natural wood finish actually enhances the look of the guitar. If you are looking for an acoustic guitar pickup, this is the one to buy!

GREAT pickup for the money. Outperforms my Martin thinline that cost triple what this little wonderment did. BUY IT!!!

5 stars for value,4 stars for performance.

Could be a little stronger on the low strings, but still GREAT.

I was really amazed at the quality sound that came from this product. I've been using it on my 12-string Seagull so that I can have a different sound when playing in church. I am very pleased with this pickup and higly recommend it to anyone seeking a great sound from their guitar, especially their 12 string!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Sound - Great Price, February 9, 2010

I bought this acoustic guitar pickup based on the reviews I read. For the price, it produces a great sound. I have no regret spending the 20-30 dollars to purchase this little guy. I recommend Taking the time to adjust the settings on your acoustic amp when using this pickup. A little tweak here, a little there and you will produce a warm acoustic sound. For my guitar, I tend to decrease the bass and pump up the treble.

The price is exceptional ($40 is a steal!) and the quality of this pickup exceeded my expectations. It was extremely easy to set-up (less than 3 minutes) and the sound produced is clear.

The lower 2 or 3 strings (low E and A strings) are not very loud, but you can still hear them. (You could also adjust the pickup's position to make the volume more even.)

Overall, I am more than satisfied with this purchase.

For the price, I think that it is the best deal on the market. Free super savers shipping is a great incentive.

The volume is a bit low, but the sound quality is good. For the price, you can't really complain. To what I remember, it did not make a buzzing noise as stated by a fellow reviewer.
