Excellent Performance,

This is an excellent live album in the jazz-fusion days of the 70's. Billy is at his best with his incredible, furious, drumming ability. Benny Maupin is also great on sax. The horn section is truly fabulous and tight. There is alot of soloing, and each track is very upbeat and moving. I have the "Total Eclipse" CD, and this is just as good! A must have for jazz-fusion fans.

Sold Cobham,

If you didn't catch Billy, Brecker Bro. and company live during the 70's, this is a must have. After a few earlier releases and prior tours the group peaks during this tour. The group is seasoned and tight everyone gets a chance to solo, more then just the standard bars. Billy also lays down a sweet run of his own, pure Billy Cobham. My favorite *****

BETTER IMPORT REMASTER AVAILABLE,

This isn't the greatest-engineered live recording ever, but there is still a better sounding version available, a European remaster. Wounded Bird primarily deals in non-remastered, LP-EQ'd masters transfered to CD, and this is no exception. |
