This book is nice for young children, who may be familiar with some of these customs but not all. It follows all 3 generations of a family- grandma and grandpa are involved throughout, a situation that not all children are lucky enough to experience. It is a wonderful idealized Shabbat experience- perfect for a book, but leaving many of us wondering why we cannot manage this ourselves. The illustrations are beautiful, and set a peaceful mood. I love the colors, and find this a lovely soothing book.
