Shabbat Shalom is perfect for kids. The songs are happy, and the words memorable. You'll even find yourself singing along! I did. I am including a medley on video to give you a sampling of the joy in this CD.

The songs are a combination of Hebrew and English, helping to reinforce the Hebrew phrases

In addition to the songs, the CD includes a number of blessings directly in Hebrew (with the original "voweled" Hebrew and transliteration into the English Alphabet inside of the cover).

I took Hebrew with a Rabbi during Seminary and gained a great appreciation for the First Testament and the language in which it was written. I purchased this product to contribute to my own Sabbath Joy, and find myself playing it over and over! Perhaps my favorite song is done entirely in English and begins:
There is always room for one more
Maybe two or three or four
There is always space for another face
Around our family table.

I invite you to enjoy and sing along in the sacred space around the table, alone or with your kids. Just sing praise to ADONAI, the One who gave us Shabbat.

I got this for my daughter when she was 3, and she still loves it at 5. Great music to have on as you prepare for Shabbat, as well as on Shabbat itself. It was the first Shabbat CD we bought, and it's a really nice introduction. I highly recommend it.
