This is a very nice brush. I used it to clean my suede shoes and it did a good job, without damaging the suede.

The brush has 4 different cleaning surfaces. One side has silicone brush, it strong yet gentle, the instructions say to use it on heavier scuff marks and stains. The opposite side is the nylon bristles and instruction say to use it on lighter scuffs and stains. The corner brush makes it easy to reach hard to reach areas. The arched half circles is helpful for rounded corners.

As you see in the video I used this brush on green suede shoes. After the nice cleaning job, the brush picked up some green color. I washed the brush with soapy water and was able to remove all green color.

The brush is made out of plastic and silicone. The total length of the brush is 6": the handle is 4" and the head of the brush is 2". It weighs 1 oz.

The brush did a nice job cleaning and was easy clean itself. I am very pleased with it.

*Disclosure: I was contacted by a representative for Shacke and given a sample of this product specifically for the purpose of giving my thoughts on it.*

Cleaning your suede is important for keeping it looking good. Typically, I use a standard scrub type brush and an old toothbrush. But even then, getting into the crevices can be difficult and restoring the texture in worn spots isn't to easy. I tried out this brush from Shacke on several different pairs of footwear, which were in various states of cleanliness and overall condition. The nubby brush did well on getting matted/scuffed areas to look good again, with some limitations. Some of the heavily worn spots there was just no hope for, no matter how much work was put into it. The nylon and brass brush did a good job of getting dirt out of the suede and restoring its appearance. The two edge tools were ok in crevices, though to me the nylon and brass brush did a better job of getting into the nooks and crannies. Not satisfied with my own experiences, I handed of the sample to a couple friends that are very into shoes, and habitually clean their shoes after every use before putting them back into their boxes, (yes, they are that anal about it). The feedback I received from them was all positive.

My boys wear suede Merrell Jungle Mocs to school, since they are durable and acceptable for their dress code. They are in 1st and 3rd grade, and break is spent climbing trees, playing soccer, and in general getting covered in mud. They come home with their shoes (and clothes) absolutely coated most days.
I bought this brush to clean up their shoes, especially because they also wear them to church. It does a fantastic job of sweeping off all of the dried mud and crud. Even they were impressed with how clean their shoes were, which is big for elementary school aged boys!

Absolute essential for Bearpaw and the like boot owners. Cleans them up, doesn't mess with waterproofing too much, gets into the seams. Really great product. Great price.

I have plenty of really nice leather polishers and everything from pocket books to shoes and boots that always need cleaning. One thing I never thought about was obtaining a nice cleaning brush to go along with it. I don’t polish my shoes up every day and when I do I simply add an extra dollop of polish to get in the threaded grooves. What I’m obviously doing is covering up and sealing in the accumulated dirt. Not such a wise idea.

The Shacke Suede & Nubuck Leather Cleaning Brush is a perfect one for tackling the cleaning portion of a shoe polishing task. It’s a good solid brush that is quite well-made. It has a stiff, yet flexible silicone head that encases a bristle brush. The main brush has stiff nylon bristles surrounding brass ones. These really pull the dirt out of flat soles. I’d be somewhat cautious in using this on delicate materials.

On the reverse side of the brush is a panel of nibs. The side panels have a half circle brush for rounded corners and the other one is intended to get things such as pebbles out of your shoes. I have a crushed slate driveway and I definitely need this feature. This is a really nice 4-way brush that worked really well when I cleaned my shoes. It’s a high quality one that I’ll definitely get a lot of use out of.

SHACKE SUEDE & NUBUCK LEATHER CLEANING BRUSH:

(Information taken from the packaging)

1. The welt surface brush is used for stronger cleaning on heavier scuff marks and stains.

2. Nylon bristles are used for a lighter gentler cleaning on light scuff marks for thing fine suede/leather.

3. Arched half circle brush allows for easier cleaning on rounded corners.

4. Thin protruded brush is meant for cleaning on harder to reach crevices and grooves on your shoes.

I have a couple pairs of Birkenstock sandals which I wear most of the time. They've been through a lot to say the least. Just working in the kitchen, they've been stained with water, oil and vinegar not to mention being drooled on by my dogs. This little Shacke 4-Way Brush Cleaner has totally revealed the perfect, stain free condition they once knew. It's a miracle !

The welt surface brush and the nylon bristles did most of the work and in just moments, I was looking at a pair of shoes which came back from the dead. They look great and I'm amazed how quickly this worked. The brush itself is light and fits easily in my hand. The handle feels good in my hand and easily maneuvers anywhere you need to move on the shoe. It's well built, sturdy and easy to grab which makes the process almost effortless. I'm extremely happy with this product and will remember this next time I need to buy stocking stuffers for Christmas. A perfect gift for anyone who likes to look spiffy and pulled together.

I received this product free of charge in return for an honest review.

This little brush is a miracle worker! Just two days after buying a pair of tan relaxed leather shoes, I got a big smudge on the front of one of the shoes. I wasn't even aware that these types of brushes existed until I did a search for leather cleaner. I was pretty skeptical but decided to give it a go since it's only $7. The brush has 4 different surfaces, but I used the Nylon bristle surface and it took the mark right off! The bristles seem tough like they could scratch the shoe, but it didn't ruin the leather at all. This is a great tool to have on hand.

***Pros :)
- quickly brushes out stains and scuffs
- cheap!
- different surfaces allow cleaning around every crevice

***Cons :(
- doesn't work on all types of leather

This brush covers it all for any suede or nubuck leather. It has been well-thought out to cover most angles, corners, seams and folds. It is small so if you have a large area to cover, you may want a larger brush but it is perfect for shoes, boots, pocketbooks and other smaller suede items. It will work well for a coat for touch ups and soiled areas.

The brush is stiff enough but does not leave scratches and marks. The other parts are stiffer (but still pliable) rubber with enough edges and curves to get in even the most difficult places. The handle is comfortable and easy to hold.

I was provided a sample for evaluation and review.

I ordered this brush because I could not find the brass-bristle suede brush I had used for decades. I found that brush after this brush was delivered. This brush is good, but I think my old brush on which ALL the bristles are brass is more effective on suede shoes than this brush, on which only part of the brush appears to be brass. This brush might be better on more delicate suede items such as jackets, where an all-brass brush might be too harsh. If you search Amazon for "brass suede brush" you'll see brushes that might be better for shoes.
