After reading the first book in this series, I immediately purchased ALL the published books in the series. After finishing one, I can't wait to read the next in the series. I love how Laura Childs keeps adding to each of the main characters personalities (and flaws) in each successive book. A GREAT READ!! PLUS if you love "teas" each book has the recipes for many of the dishes in the stories -- all easy to follow, make AND they really are delicious! The author also uses the CHARLESTON. NC area as a fantastic added dimension (plus for those of us NON-NATIVE Southerners a little historical view of the city and the low-country area which surrounds it. |
