This review is from: The Shadow of the Almighty: Father, Son and Spirit in Biblical Perspective (Paperback)
Two others read this with me as we did a study. At that time The Shack was the rage. Some loved that book, others were upset by it. This is a good alternate to read.
It explains the concept of the trinity in a fairly understandable manner. We did struggle with one chapter. However, we came away feeling that it gave us valuable insight into the concept. By my self, I have read a couple of other works and this is the one that has stood out to me. The problem with The Shack is that it is a fictional work, while this is not. If you found yourself confused or having questions after reading The Shack, or have questions based on conversations with someone who has, I recommend this book. I have found that you can't go too far wrong reading Ben Witherington and this book didn't let me down, |
