Editorial Reviews

From AudioFile

Former parish priest William Kienzle's mysteries revolve around the sleuthing exploits of Father Koesler. In this story, the priest travels the globe, following clues to the murders of two cardinals as a broad, sinister plot unfolds. Narrator Edward Holland duplicates the mature, calculated, steady thought processes of the priestly detective. His deep voice manages the change in characters with slight differentiation and expertly conveys the transcontinental clues and intrigue. 3.0 out of 5 stars Adequate thriller-mystery, October 19, 2005
This book won't blow you away, but for the most part, it is comfortable reading. The mystery is done in thriller format, where a story unfolds and the clues are explained in the end; it isn't much of a mystery, but it is inventive enough not to be tedious. The main strength of this book is the lead character, a Father Koesler, who's a nice traditional priest with whom most can identify. I enjoyed reading it but would like more of a mysterious and compelling tale to read another from this author.
