I loved this game. It was my second PS2 game (the first being Zone of the Enders). When I heard this was getting a PSP port I was very excited. It's an adventure/mystery game with a pretty interesting story, time travel, and multiple endings. A warning for those who have played the PS2 version, this is not the exact same game, contrary to some reviews. The voice actors are different (not as good imo), Eike sounds much younger almost has a cocky anime boys voice, Homunculus sounds more boyish now and talks way too fast, and the graphics are crisper than the original PS2 one. One gripe and one plus for the PSP version. Overall it's entertaining and mostly the same game. 4 stars. It would have been 5 if they kept the voice actors.

As you may know, the premise of this game is quite interesting. You play as a young man, Ike, who almost immediately gets stabbed to death in the street. You are then awakened by a mysterious being who gives you a time travel device to allow to try and prevent your demise.
While the story can be a bit forced at times, it is an interesting back and forth; dying, preventing your death, dying a different way, preventing that death, etc. Be warned, this is an old ps2 game, and as such it plays like an old adventure game: sparse locales, sparse locals who talk nonsense, some trial and error "puzzles" and such. But it's still an interesting game with an interesting story. Too bad there's no demo, as this game is not for everyone.

I played this game for the first time on the ps2 in its original form. Yes its graphics are somewhat old now, but the idea is still marvelous and needs to be developed into another game! This game is deep and thought-provoking, with many endings that are all fun to dig up and has very high replay value. The entire point of the game is to prevent your own death, yet by the end you're causing your own causes and the different choices you make change your past too.. well.. it makes much more sense if you just play it. Many other fans I've run into over the years have said it's the most under-commercialized good game in history. I can't stress how much I wish this game was given more love.
