Amazing!,
By Victoria (New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Lord of the Shadows (Cirque Du Freak: The Saga of Darren Shan, Book 11) (Hardcover)
The other rewiew took the words right out of my mouth. This book is amazing. In my opinion its the best so far. I got the book today and finished it a few hours later and immediatly knew I have to write a review about it.In book 11 of the Cirque Du Freak series (or the saga of Darren Shan) time has passed since Harkat and Darrens journey in book 10. Now working at the cirque where does the luck of the vampires lead him? Back to his home town! Darren is faced with difficult decicions, familiar friends, horrible truths, death and shocking events that will make you wish book 12 was already out! I highly recommend this book. If you like Darren Shans writing I also recommend The Demonata.

Mad, Sad, and Excited,
By Laura Bechard (Rouses Point, NY USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Lord of the Shadows (Cirque Du Freak: The Saga of Darren Shan, Book 11) (Hardcover)
Well, this is truly a good book but a lot of it makes me mad. Darren Shan keeps killing of all the best characters. That makes me mad and sad!! But, as in all the other books it leaves you hanging at the end, which makes you really want to come back for more.

The Most Suspenseful Yet,
By
This review is from: Lord of the Shadows (Cirque Du Freak: The Saga of Darren Shan, Book 11) (Hardcover)
This was an excellent book! One of the best so far. It was definitely exciting, and suspenseful, though I think Shan might have fallen down a bit on his plot. Basically he goes back to his home town, meets back up with Vancha, Debbie, and Alice, and Steve, and discovers his sister, and the true demon within himself as he makes his transformation from half-mortal to full-vampire, and as he begins to fulfill prophecies set down by Mr.s Tiny and Tall, and Evanna. This was kind of a short read, but was a genuinely good book, and I'd recommend it to anyone who has read all the others (this would be a really disappointing read if you read the series out of order, so I would definitely not recommend that). In the second to last, a lot of loose ends are brought closer together, but not quite tied, that leaves readers dying for the next. All I can say is "Good job, Darren!"
