My 9yo son is reading this series. I bought it for him because he over the top loves the Percy Jackson series and other Rick Riordan books and now loves all things mythology. He said he really enjoyed this book but said it is much scarier than the Percy Jackson books but not so scary that he did not finish and he is reading the 2nd book. I did not read it yet myself.

this book is fantastic alan gibbons slowly builds up suspense in this brilliant sci fi novel.

This was definitely a great book and I really hope many other people do buy it. It may look like a bit of money but I definitly loved it. It really is worth it! I hope you enjoy it!
