"Sedona-based harpist Peter Sterling taught himself to play the harp a few years back after a spiritual experience. This is an interesting fact to consider after youve heard him play he has the confidence and technique of someone classically-trained. Shadow, Mist & Light, Sterlings first endeavor on Real Music, presents the harp in a variety of settings, which borrow from multi-cultural, jazz and relaxation music. The music is sweet, somewhat gentle and full of life, incorporating a variety of instruments like Latin-flavored percussion, violin, flute, saxophone, keyboards and guitar. Sterlings harp is always at the forefront, providing a lush flow of melody that all the other elements revolve around. Includes the assistance of Tina Malia on wordless vocals, Tony Redhouse on conga drums, Richard Hardy on flute, Robin Miller on keyboards and William Aura (3rd Force) on bass."
