Kept me on the edge of my seat!,

I usually think of how a movie meets another movie (for example, "The Counte of Monte Cristo" is like "Zorro" meets "Shawshank Redemption"). This movie was unlike any others and I could not come up with two movies that could describe it. There is no other with so many perplexing elements like complex relationships, subplots, surprising moments (totally not predictable) and still violent and sexually charged. The plot(s) were well thought out and virtually flawless. The acting was superb- not over acting at all. Cuba played his best role in a film (I'm not a Cuba fan). This IS entertainment! The direction and the shot angles were also well done! The camera itself was a work of art. I will watch this movie again!

An excellent and interesting movie. Cuba Gooding has outdone himself and Helen Mirren is perfect, as always. It could also be considered a cautionery tale about having sex outdoors.

I stumbled onto this great movie one night, late, and surfing the cable channels...I bought it immediately and have probably watched it 5 times already...I'm one of those who, if I like a movie, and having seen an uncut version, I'm not satisfied with waiting for it to come around again on cable, with some good parts cut.
So, the movie is violent in strange ways, and Stephen Dorff plays a way bad, really bad, as in horribly violent, man....and the end of the movie isn't a disappointment... |
