Book Description

July 17, 2007
Elminster's tower lies in ruins, and the town of Shadowdale has been conquered by evil Sharrans and the nefarious forces of Zhentil Keep. To drive the villains out of Shadowdale, the heroes must organize and lead a desperate revolt of Dalesfolk against their conquerors, as well as thwart the sinister designs of Shar's servants and the Zhent garrison.

Shadowdale: The Weave Unwinding is an adventure designed for characters levels 8-13 and is the second part of a three-part series set in the Forgotten Realms, although it can easily be played as a stand-alone adventure. In addition to encounters, this book contains detailed source material on the town of Shadowdale and it's environs.

More About the Author

Richard Baker is an award-winning game designer and a best-selling author. He's worked on the DUNGEONS & DRAGONS game lines since 1991. Rich traces his D&D experience back to 1979, when he began playing the DUNGEONS & DRAGONS game as a 7th-grader. He spent a significant amount of his high school and college years playing D&D at every opportunity, and after serving as a surface warfare officer in the United States Navy, Rich decided to take a shot at working on the game he grew up playing - and so he joined the staff of TSR, Inc., and became a game designer. Rich's list of D&D design credits numbers over 50 game products, including the Origins Award-winning BIRTHRIGHT Campaign Setting, the ALTERNITY Science Fiction Roleplaying Game (which he co-designed with Bill Slavicsek), and the newest edition of the DUNGEONS & DRAGONS game. He has also served as creative director for the ALTERNITY and FORGOTTEN REALMS game lines. As an author, Rich has published eight fantasy and science fiction novels, including City of Ravens, Forsaken House, and the New York Times bestseller Condemnation. Rich is currently employed as a senior game designer at Wizards of the Coast, Inc., and works every day on new products for the DUNGEONS & DRAGONS game.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Adventure!, July 23, 2007

This review is from: Shadowdale: The Scouring Of The Land (Dungeons & Dragons d20 3.5 Fantasy Roleplaying, Forgotten Realms Adventure) (Hardcover)
The second module of this trilogy is better than the first (Cormyr' Tearing of the weave.)It contains a lot of lore for the realms and Shadowdale. IT is like Red Hand of Doom, but with big NPCs attached to the adventure. The only complaint are the dungeons, to many of them, but as a DM you can change that with no problem.

4.0 out of 5 stars The long lost elven Warblade is here!, January 30, 2010
This review is from: Shadowdale: The Scouring Of The Land (Dungeons & Dragons d20 3.5 Fantasy Roleplaying, Forgotten Realms Adventure) (Hardcover)
I think it's worth mentioning that the long lost elven Warblade which has been hidden for centuries under the city of the spider queen can finally be found by the player characters in this adventure. Reading through the descriptions of the Warblade from other products, the Warblade is a Major Artifact which if it bonds with a character, then that character becomes the leader of the entire military of Myth Drannor!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great advanced campaign, September 4, 2007
This review is from: Shadowdale: The Scouring Of The Land (Dungeons & Dragons d20 3.5 Fantasy Roleplaying, Forgotten Realms Adventure) (Hardcover)
Finally, a well written campaign with twisted plots that actually come together. The Scouring Of The Land covers day and night scenes and best of all, in the winter. Based on what your group accomplishes you gain sort of influence points, get enough of these points and recruit the help of the entire town.
