Editorial Reviews

Review

"I can't recommend SHADOWLAW enough as it's a love letter to so many different genres that I can never get enough of. With each page turn you can just see through the world he creates that Easton cares about the content he is presenting and has a desire to grow this universe much more in the future." - Ain't it Cool News (Nov. 23, 2011)

It's great to see the fruits of someone's tireless work pay off, and Brandon Easton's "Shadowlaw" does just that. The end result is a great piece of sci-fi meets horror, with a pretty awesome mix of action to boot.

Kester and Kawakami's art does justice to the story, while setting a pretty cool pace for the book.

Overall a really, really, really good book. Brandon Easton kicks butt with his recent work. If you're in the mood for a great horror/ sci-fi mash up, involving vampires, the Catholic Church, and mech suits check it out. Show your support for an awesome independent comic.

Soldiers in mech suits versus vampires. How could you not love something like this?

It's the kind of variety the comic book industry needs. Don't get me wrong the industry currently does comics in all shapes and forms and genres but there is nothing out there quite like this.

If you love Robotech (especially the New generation Saga), Voltron, Bubblegum Crisis and the films of Yoshiaki Kawajiri then you will love Shadowlaw.

This is a story the director of Wicked City and Ninja Scroll himself would have told. And I wouldnt be surprised if somewhere down the line Shadowlaw was adapted into an animated flick or live action movie. That's how good it is.

But for now its a comic book and as we all know there is nothing better than comics. So do yourself a favor and pick this book up. Cause lets face it you dont wanna be the only kid on the block who hasnt checked out the new hotness.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get on, QUICK! March 28, 2012

I'm not going to beat you over the head with this one. The premise should make you sit up straight. It's MECHAS (soldiers in "transformer-style" battle suits) vs Vampires in a dystopian future. yes, you read it right.

Battlemechas vs VAMPIRES! It's an idea that is chock full of so much built-in awesome it should have been thought of decades ago and yet it took Mr. Easton to actually do it. And he does it REALLY, REALLY well.

if you're one of those folks who can't possibly tear themselves away from the superhero koolaid to check out something new, you probably shouldn't be reading this blog. But, if you're the type who likes to get in on the ground floor of the next big thing, you might want to check this book out.

I'm just saying.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blood, Bullets and Betrayal April 4, 2012
Format:Perfect Paperback
SHADOWLAW written by Brandon Easton is quite the read! If you like Sci-Fi, Conspiracies, and double crosses... then you should DEFINITELY check this out!

Before I go any further I'll state that the art attracts you, but the story keeps you. And though the art is super cool, and I love the colorists' style, once you start falling down the rabbit hole with the star Rictor Caesaro you truly become enveloped in a tale will have you "Believe Nothing. And Everything".

Without giving too much away or too many spoilers... There's enough bullets, blood and betrayal for all comers ready for a great GREAT escape in the pages of SHADOWLAW!

SHADOWLAW graphic novel...
What's up with this release date? Amazon says it was released November 1, 2011 but now (January 22, 2012) it says it has not yet been released. Who's right?
