This is an excellent book and finishes the series. Elundium is over run with rats infecting all they bite with Kruel's darkness. All who resist are twisted and deformed. Only one person can save Elundium but the Master of Magic has lost most of his powers. Read the series they are great.

Along with a Book called Magic's Promise, shadowlight is the best book I have ever read and I can't wait to read them again! It is a masterpeice.
