An Excellent Collection from a Very Fine Poet,

W.S. Di Piero's "Shadows Burning" is a wonderful collection of poetry. It is split between "Pacific" and "Atlantic" poems, the Pacific ouevre containing poems rooted in his current life in California, and the Atlantic ouevre rooted in poems inspired by his past: his childhood and young adulthood in Philadelphia. Both sections, the Pacific poems with their nature imagery, and the Atlantic poems with their scenes of urban life, are among the best poems I have read. I strongly recommend "Shadows Burning" to the reader.
