Overcoming fear and defeat,

The book is filled with psychological twists and turns, and Sheila's self-determination to succeed. Despite the trauma of being forced to live in a chaotic home life, Sheila has the strength to overcome defeat and begins to stand up for herself. Sheila's Uncle Bill reaches out to her and provides the means to set her free from this dysfunctional family. And in the process, she learns to trust again, and gains a new loving family. Reveals the negative implications of early parent/ child separation and its lasting effects. A good read.
