5.0 out of 5 stars It's so hard and smoothe
The controller was cooler than I thought it would be. Reminds me of the good ol' days when I would play Street Fighter at the Circle K. Can I have change for a dollar? Seriously, this remote is tight. Only downside is that I wish it had some like block to mount on or something so it really felt like an arcade. I bought this joystick to play game boy games with the Game Boy Player on my GameCube system. With a quick test of Super Mario Land, everything seemed great....

But after going through a couple of levels of gaming, the shortcomings begin to show:

(1) First and foremost, the joystick is lightweight & has a small base around it, which allows it to easily move around, constantly making it off-center. You'll have to affix it to a heavy object to keep it in place.

(2) You have to be somewhat aggressive with the joystick, especially to go up. If you press too lightly, it doesn't "register". This makes gaming too frustrating.

(3) There's no lights or anything to tell you when & which buttons are set to TURBO. You have to go through trial & error on the game you're playing to find out.

WHAT I RECOMMEND: Buy a WII to NES or SNES converter cable and plug in a NES or SNES ADVANTAGE CONTROLLER. Both of these controllers are very excellent for playing Game Boy games on the GameCube & Virtual games for the Wii.

If you are serious about games and/or don't want to buy a substandard product then buy the Wii Hori stick instead of this cheap piece of rubbish.
It cost $3 more but you WILL NOT REGRET IT.

I'm posting the as people from this company have obviously been making fake posts against rival products which are blatantly untrue.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pathetic excuse for an arcade stick, March 17, 2009

It's light, it's small and it's cheaply made. This doesn't look, feel or sound like a real arcade stick at all. The only pro of this is that it supports analog...but that doesn't change the fact that it's an inferior product...and analog games aren't remotely enhanced by using an arcade stick, in my opinion, as they were NEVER designed to use them. Even at $30 I think it's overpriced. Check out some professional reviews on this thing, IGN especially. I have played Wii games with this and the hori stick so i do have something to compare it to. So, if you want a classic controller in arcade stick clothing, go ahead and buy it.

Seriously, this remote is tight. Only downside is that I wish it had some like block to mount on or something so it really felt like an arcade. The size is perfect, but too big to use like a traditional hand remote IMO. Just my opinion. I've never seen a mounting block, but it's just an idea I had. I should probably just make one for myself and use those double-sided adhesive strips to mount it.

This is a new product by a new company and there weren't any reviews out anywhere on gaming sites. I preordered the shaft from the manufacturers website and just received it a couple of days ago. I have to say that it works awesome. It runs all the old VC games and works great with the N64 games as well. It is awesome playing Brawl with this thing too and I'm excited to use it with the new Mario Kart game.

The joystick fits perfectly in my hand and I like the feel of it. The buttons are the right size and the stick feels great as well. At first I thought it would have been nice if it were wireless but to be honest I think I like it better this way. It always seems that my wiimote batteries are dead and the response time with the classic controller has noticable lag. The joystick looks really good too. There is another joystick out there, the Hori, but it is an ugly box and it won't control analog games (N64 games, wii games, gamecube games).

I like some games with the wiimote but I still feel most games should use a controller. I hated playing Brawl with the wiimote and if this controller only worked with that game it would have been worth it. Great product from a new company. I'll be picking up a second one for my wife. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Joystick for the Wii, April 21, 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars

I bought this joystick mostly for Virtual Console Games, but also to play Smash Bros Brawl. It has great response time in Street Fighter but also smooth controls while playing Mario Kart. The main selling point for me was that it is the only joystick that works with analog games, digital games, and Brawl. The Turbo Function is also great, you can individually set each button to turbo, which is perfect for Street Fighter. This is definately the most useful Wii accessory I have purchased.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Wii joystick for the money!, April 22, 2008

I still drive down to the local arcade to get some hardcore Street Fighter action when I can. There's just something about the feel of a joystick in your hand that makes you feel invincible against M Bison! The Shaft has finally given me a way to play all my favorite old-school platform fighters on Wii virtual console in my own living room. It also works great with Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. Brawl- it's the best of both worlds!
