The story provides factual information told in interesting ways for children.

About the Author

Dwight Whitfield is a native Detroiter. He taught school in Kenya, East Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer and later worked as a writer and training consultant for the Ministry of Education in Nairobi, Kenya. He has a BA degree from UCLA, an MA degree from the University of Michigan, and a Specialist in Education degree from the University of Detroit. Dwight presently works in Detroit as a teacher and consultant.
