This product works if you use it when no rain is in the immediate forecast. I use it to keep rabbits away from my flower garden. You have to be patient when you apply it since it does not work immediately. Maybe the granules need to slowly disintegrate? Anyway, I had bought Shake Away at a local store and could not find it any where the next time I needed it and did not want to try a different brand since they all are rather expensive and in the past other brands have had less than satisfactory results. I found the 3 pound at Amazon at a much better price than what I had previously paid for multiple 1 pound containers - especially since it qualified for free shipping.

We purchased shake away trio pack.....We have a severe problem with squirrels - digging up our plants, eating tulip bulbs, eating the cannas, digging up our vegetable gardens and eating the plants, digging up our flower pots and destroying them. We are so fed up with the damage, mess and not to mention the expense of it all.

We truly thought that this was going to work. The directions were followed to the tee for the past month and it still is not working. When we were in the process of buying shake away all we read were these great reviews on how it works etc....well it hasn't worked for us.

Needless to say we are VERY DISAPPOINTED !!!!

I purchased the Shake Away product to get rid of groundhogs, etc. and because it stated on the website that it was safe for animals and humans. It was the odor that repelled the animals. When I received the product, I read the label on the container and was shocked to see that this product was highly POISONOUS to all animals and humans. How can this be advertised as safe when it is so dangerous? I asked for a refund from Ace Hardware which I got after much hassle about restocking fee, not paying for shipping. I will never purchase from Ace Hardware again. BEWARE OF THESE PRODUCTS AND ALWAYS READ THE LABELS.

I don;t know about other animals, but this stuff completely kept the moles and chipmunks away that had been ruining our yard. You have to use it every week for at least three weeks. And you need to use it generously, but it WORKS.

I have used the "Small Critter Repellent" granules for several years and have been satisfied. Chipmunks are my main problem (in Georgia) and dig in my patio container garden. I need something that is safe around my dogs. I follow the instructions (2x/week beginning in late March, the start of the growing season), then every couple of weeks or so until August, when for some reason I need to use it more frequently again. It works for me and I will continue to order it.

I have a problem with skunks digging into my yard under the fence. I purchased the "Shake Away" the night that my dogs got skunked and I was up all night washing them and my house! As soon as I recieved the 3lb shake away I read the instructions and did not realize that it says to use so often to keep them away. Well the night that I spread it all over my back yard and the perimeter the skunks didn't seem to mind it one bit because there were more digging marks directly where I put the pellets!!! Not to mention that in order to keep up the maintenance witht the pellets the way that the bottle described I would have to buy TONS of the stuff. My backyard is not that big and I used more than half the container in one application!!! I would not recommend this to anyone who has a skunk problem......other animals I am not sure of because I don't have a problem with them but keep in mind how much you will have to use in order to maintain it!

I was having a problem with squirrels and ground hogs eating my garden. After a week of use, it seemed like this product did the trick. No more rabbits, squirrels, or ground hogs. However, a week later, I discovered I traded one pest for another.

It seems a family of wild brown rats moved into the area, and quickly multiplied to a massive quantity (over 100). While I can't say if this product attracted them (I live near a large wooded lot), it did not keep them away. Over the next three weeks, my entire garden was ravaged. I had to resort to large quantities of rodenticide to finally kill the rats off. By that time, I had lost 85% of my crop.

One interesting side affect of using fox urine - my neighbor's Labrador Retriever looked like she was on crack (LOL). The dog ran circles around my yard, stopping by the garden for a sniff, and then ran circles again. It was quite comical and brought a smile to the kid's faces.

I purchased this product from Amazon. The top was loose, so there were quite a few granules inside the packaging, but I could get it back into the bottle.

I had squirrels nest in my attic last year, so I decided to try these granules this year. A pellet gun was my next choice!

I put the granules on paper plates throughout my attic. A few days later - I heard squirrels again. I said a few nice words thinking the granules weren't working. Amazingly, I have not heard the squirrels again going on one month.

I think this stuff actually works to repel squirrels. Of course, I haven't talked to my neighbors, but my guess is at least one of them is now having squirrel problems now.

Since I have been using this product, I have had no mice in my motor home. I just sprinkle some of top of each tire and this has done the job. Before I started using Shake-A-Way, I had a mouse problem, but mo more. I highly recommend this for anyone, especially those who have motor homes, boats, or anything they want to keep mice away from.

Squirrels were eating all of our tomatoes this year. We tried this product, despite many negative reviews, hoping we'd be lucky.

It does smell to high heaven, but the squirrels kept on visiting the vegetable garden and eating every tomato the moment they started ripening. It didn't do a thing to deter them.

We haven't tried to collect on their money back guarantee yet but plan to. This product was a total waste of time and money.
