if I had known that I could have bought it at the local Ace Hardware store instead of paying Amazon for shipping, I would have gotten it locally. What I figured out from previous reviews is that "more is not better". I sprinkle very sparingly amounts about 2 a week on trees, bushes, fence corners - the typical places a coyote or fox would mark. I can see cats in other yards in the neighborhood but they avoid our yard, which was the goal on order to keep our indoor cat calm and to provide sanctuary for the birds in the backyard.

I started researching cat repellents when one of our cats went ballistic over neighborhood cats coming through the yard. I checked out products like this, as well as electronic repellents, etc. From everything I saw, no matter what the method, there didn't seem to be a greater than 50% success rate. It all depends on whether the individual cat you're having a problem with is sensitive to the repellent you're using---which means you can't know for sure ahead of time whether something will work or not. I decided I'd rather take that chance on an inexpensive item first, so I decided to try the coyote/fox urine crystals. They worked beautifully for us. They do have to be renewed every few weeks, particularly during rainy times, but they seem to do a good job of keeping cats away from the windows and doors.

So I recommend trying this product if you're having problems with outdoor cats---but be aware that you've probably only got about a 50-50 chance of it working.

I applied Shake Away Cat liberally to protect a small patch of garden. My cat apparently loves it. I wouldn't be surprised to see her eating it. Completely useless.

After doing research I found really no one cat repellent works on all cats. The same seems to be true for this product. I sprinkled this everywhere the stray cats have been going in my yard. I was disappointed that I used almost the full 20oz on the first application.

I had mixed results, while there were still several cat piles, my mother said she did observe one cat completely avoid the area that I sprinkled some in. So I believe that the three isolated places I'm finding piles is just one stubborn cat. Which would make sense since I have two large dogs in that yard that has not deterred it yet.

I have reapplied the product directly to the areas that the cats have returned to. After the third morning I seem to be making headway as there was only one pile instead of three. Unfortunately I'm all out of Shake Away now, and I'm not really sure if it's worth it to keep buying this and having to apply it every night.

Do not waste your money on this product. I purchased it a few months back and the cats were back in my planter beds the very afternoon after applying this stuff.

I had horrible problems with a large neighborhood cat using my front and back lawns as an outhouse. My lawn was covered with you-know-what. I sprinkled this stuff out and within 2 weeks the cat had moved on. My gardener is very, very happy and I don't have to watch my step every time I walk across my lawn. It did not kill my grass, it just got the cat to "go" somewhere else.

The technical detals on this site for the Shake-Away coyote-fox urine granules is conflicting to that on the actual product. I purchased this item to retrain a dog to "go" in one spot. The technical details said "Safe-Completely organic, safe around kids and pets". On the package it says, "Precautionary Statements, hazards to humans and domestic animals. CAUTION: Harmful if swallowed, Avoid contact of mouth, skin, or eyes, etc.". I would not have purchased this product if I had been correctly informed of its' risks. It is NOT safe for kids or pets, and I will not expose my dog to it. [..]

I highly suggest you purchase this from a place that you can return it to when it doesn't work. Their "GUARANTEE" is only for the packets and 20 oz size. Why not for the larger sizes? I asked. "Oh, because we figured someone who wants to use the product would use the smaller size first to see if it would work. Gee, so someone with a large lot or acreage should buy a small bottle and try it? The cats would just use another part of the property....DUHHHHHHH!!!! I'm returning my 2nd bottle (I bought a 20oz specifically for that purpose) I'm out $30+shipping for the 3lb size because they don't "Guarantee" that size! Maybe because they know their product is CRAP!!!!

Oh, and forget trying to mix it with water to spray it. It is just like putting sand in water....

Waste of money. Cats came back very next day to reclaim their territory. All I did was add coyote urine and fox urine to my current cat urine problem.

I was really excited to try out this product because nothing else had worked to keep the stray, feral, and neighbor's cats out of my yards. But it doesn't work--they LICKED it right off the ground then they all walked right over it and continue to use my yards for their personal potty and continue to terrorize my little dogs. My little dogs and my kids can't be at ease in their own backyard because of all the neighborhood cats that think they own my yards. I really hoped this product would work but seriously, they just LICKED it and were NOT deterred by it or frightened away by it.
So I am really disappointed in this product.
