Given the price, I wasn't expecting much. However, this line counter seems to work well. It fit firmly to my pole and the line was easy to insert and remove. If also seemed to count consistently (it returned to 0 when I reeled the line in). I did not measure the line being put out, so I can't be positive that it gives an accurate reading of distance.This seems like a great item, for the price (I just bought a second one).
