4.0 out of 5 stars A little rust...won't stop these.
Accumulated a little rust around the mouth, cutters, and handles. Still operates smoothly. Began using a anti corrosive lube to keep pliers functioning as advertised. Replaced cheap lanyard with telephone cord. Considering the abuse they get from me in the salt water.... They have performed well.

3.0 out of 5 stars Stainless titanium?
Just got these, so haven't really used them yet.
They have "Stainless" stamped on both sides, so not sure what's that all about since supposed to be titanium?
The big jaws don't close all the way, due to the little jaws already closed when you squeeze them.
Previous review says they rust, and titanium doesn't rust (the main reason I got these), so not...

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad for the price, May 24, 2011

These pliers are "OK". I didn't say great, but they compete in a market of fishing pliers that carry a price tag of $150 higher. When you consider the price point, these are hard to beat. They have features that the expensive ones have, like replaceable cutter edges, but I have just a Just a couple of pointers: Keep them clean and oiled. Unlike their solid titanium counterparts, these can rust. Also, the carabiner clip is extremely "cheapy". Get a $2 stainless one and replace it, and make a better lanyard.

2.0 out of 5 stars NOT TITANIUM, October 5, 2010

These are NOT made of titanium. If pressed, I imagine that shakespeare would say that the word was a reference to the color, not the material. "STAINLESS" is prominently stamped on both sides, but of course this is not easily seen online. I'm going to keep them, but I almost decided to return this on principle. So, this will rust sooner or later.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not titanium...but will do the job, July 11, 2010

As other have stated, these things WILL rust. Take care of them like any other stainless steel marine tool and you'll be fine.

The little hook sharpener inserts both popped out of the jaws the first time I used them. Chinzy, but doesn't effect the operation.

I bought these thinking I was getting a deal on titanium pliers... I got a pair of stainless pliers called titanium, but they do work fine.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lots of rust on the part stamped "Stainless", June 3, 2010

Lots of rust.
Titanium don't rust.
The best part is where the pliers are stamped "Stainless". Extra rusty there.
That said, they are still working fine. two seasons in saltwater. Ok for the price.
Lanyard is utter crap, split rings are rusted to hell, and the lanyard is cheap plastic melted to itself.
they are cheap, and they work, ugly as hell.
