This rod is usable but frustrating. The problem is that after about every dozen casts some part of the rod falls off. The tip or some other section separates and you're fishing your pole out of the water instead of something scaly. I've pushed the sections together as firmly as I can and it doesn't help. I've learned to stop once in a while and tighten the sections before it comes apart. Even worse is when you tuck the pole under your arm to take a fish off the hook and the handle falls off the pole. This is just not a good choice for a travel rod. I had a nice Cabelas pack rod that never had this problem, but the tip broke off that rod when a grandkid stepped on it and I decided to go cheap. You get what you pay for.
