This review is from: Shaking the Money Tree: How to Get Grants and Donations for Film and Video Projects (Paperback)
In Shaking the Money Tree, Morrie Warshawski has provided an excellent resource for anyone looking to fincance their first film (or second or third for that matter). He has put together a book that is not only a good read but is chock full of information that is actually useful. The lists of resources available to the filmmaker is an good place to start when searching for those elusive dollars needed to either start a project or get one completed (or released from the post facility where it sits awaiting payment of past due bills). His thoughts and suggestions on grant writing are right on the mark. For that reason, I would highy recommend this book not only to those in the film industry, but to anyone preparing to apply for a grant not matter what the field. All in all, a well thought out, well researched, informative work.
