This is exactly what it purports to be, Shalimar eau de toilette. Not as strong or as long lasting as the parfume, but significantly less expensive, this small bottle will still last quite some time. Since Shalimar can be hard to find outside a trip to a decent mall, this was the perfect way for me to buy it as a Christmas present. Price was comparable to Saks. The fragrance itself is not overpowering, kinda formal but the vanilla makes it sweet. I'm not seeing the gal I bought this for anymore, but it's still her favorite for evenings and much more pleasant than whatever she wore before, so there was at least one thing I did right. Lol. Oh, and lots of women seem to have a high opinion of it, she got plenty of compliments.

The package is very plain, though, you might want to wrap it up with a cheap teddy bear or something, because it really doesn't look like much.
