The sanctimonious will have plenty to squawk about. A true storyteller, Goat writes Shallow Graves from the belly, or really, from his balls. This wild ride through a decadent Hollywood (and beyond) is an effortless one-upping of the Da Vinci Code. Goat's intricately informed version of the Holy Grail mystery is flawlessly fascinating, but his irreverent, seat-of-the-pants characters steal the show.

I read a lot. Many times I have started a book, to realize, I had already read it. This book is so different. It was fast paced, full of the type of ideas that made me stop and think, (I like that). After I had finished reading the book, I have noticed that many of the ideas and happenings in the box keep poppin up in reference to day to day life. It is the kind of book, that not only makes you think when you are reading, but keeps the brain going in day to day experiences. I recommend it.

unusual mystery written against the backdrop of the Hollywood machine, Shallow Graves kept me turning the pages late into the night.
