Review

Madison is one of those characters that you can easily relate to through her thoughts and feelings, and you instantly like her "take-it-or-leave-it" attitude. Overall, a fun, quick read that leaves you wanting more, and a definite recommend. (From a review of FATAL CUT, the first novella in the Madison Keith ghostly psychological suspense series.) --Erin, Wedded Bliss Images

Product Description

In the second novella in this psychological suspense series, Madison finds a dead body in the Shallow Water of Half Moon Bay. The most likely culprit has a rock-solid alibi, and Madison isn't sure whether the legendary ghost that haunts The Distillery restaurant is helping or hindering her quest to understand why a young woman drowned. When Madison agrees to meet a good-looking bartender on the beach, ghosts and corpses take a back seat.

Both the living and the dead like to reveal their secrets to Madison Keith. As the administrative assistant in the basement office of a suburban church, she gets plenty of opportunity to hear from both.

The other novellas in the series are FATAL CUT (#1), UNHOLY CHILD (#3), and STONE COLD (#4). The 5th novella, DEADLY STREETS, is coming in July 2012.

I really like Madison Keith! December 3, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I enjoyed getting to know Madison Keith even better in Shallow Water, the second novella in Cathryn Grant's series. Her thoughts on religion, for example, add richness to an already satisfying tale. Plus, setting the story against an intriguing real-life backdrop adds another nice touch, and makes me want to travel to northern California soon!

I recommend adding Madison to your list of favorite sleuths as soon as possible. You won't regret it.

I love a good ghost story, and one set on the beautiful Pacific coast, told by a handsome man is just that much better. Madison Keith is intrigued, of course, but what does a ghost have to do with helping her solve a murder? In Shallow Waters, once again, Cathryn Grant has written a tale that will keep you guessing--and turning the pages.
