Essential Passover!,

This review is from: Shalom Sesame Show 10: Passover [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I orignally got this video out of the library and we triedto hold on to it as long as possible (smile). I wanted to keep it for my five children. They love it so much. It really enriched our Passover experience. Sarah Jessica Parker was adorable in this and so amusing. Passover is not a dreary time, it is a time for joy and delight and this movie certainly helps create those great memories! I consider this an essential part of our Passover. We watch it all during the feast of unleavened bread as well!

Smart Idea,

What a great way to teach kids about other cultures. Sesame Street has expanded to almoast every country in the world and this one from isreal combines parts of the american version and the isreali version to teach about the celebration of passover. This is a wonderful idea and I can only hope that it expands to othere countries and more videos.

I needed something that would catch the attention of children 4-10 yrs old for a church Seder Meal of about 50 people. I started the tape about 10 minutes or so into the program, when Sara Jessica Parker is doing her Indiana Jones-type of Seder Meal venture. The kids (AND the parents) responded to it well, chuckling and giggling, but it also served to open-up and prepare our children's minds to celebrating an actual Seder.
