5.0 out of 5 stars An essential for Jewish preschoolers
We purchased this album on cassettte along with Judy Ginsburgh's "Boker Tov/Laila Tov" and now we're buying them both on cd because we've played through the cassette tapes! We especially like "Shalom Yeladim" because of the logical way in which Ginsburgh has organized it: the album progresses from general songs (Bim Bam, Boker Tov, etc.), to...

3.0 out of 5 stars Does Not Feel Sincere
The material on this CD is good however, the singer, Judy, is not at all convincing. The vocal performance feels stiff, forced and not very sincere. I will give her an A for effort but this sounds like an opera singer who is singing for adults and looking down upon children. There is nothing friendly about her approach except for her good choice of songs. I think Judy...

We especially like "Shalom Yeladim" because of the logical way in which Ginsburgh has organized it: the album progresses from general songs (Bim Bam, Boker Tov, etc.), to blessings and then to songs about specific holidays. She's really covered all the bases and done it in a way that our kids love. Happy listening and shalom!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful children's album, April 11, 2000

This is a great children's album. It contains all the favorite and popular children's Hebrew songs. My kids are really enjoying hearing the songs that they are learning at Sunday School. Judy Ginsburgh has a beautiful voice and the songs are clear and easy to follow. I highly recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best, April 11, 2005
This review is from: Shalom Yeladim/Hello Children (Audio CD)
Shalom Yeladim is a classic. It is one of the best Jewish albums I have ever heard for children. The selections are outstanding because they are basic to what young Jewish children learn in preschools today. And Judy Ginsburgh's voice is clear and warm. Her musical style is simple and direct - perfect for small children who are learning new songs and beginning Hebrew. If you want to purchase a first CD for your child or grandchild with a huge selection of traditional Hebrew songs sung by one of the easiest to listen to voices on the planet, Shalom Yeladim is it!

5.0 out of 5 stars great collection!, January 15, 2007

Buy it! - contains if not all then very many 'classic' Jewish songs, clearly sung. My kids love it. Enough said.

There is nothing friendly about her approach except for her good choice of songs. I think Judy Caplan Ginsburgh would make a good record maker for someone who could sing these songs in a tender like way. As I said, she should get an A for effort because she has chosen good songs, though she is not the one who should sing them.
