There is very little I don't own of Susan Seddon Boulet's work in calendar, card or book form. Shaman is an exemplary achievement and work of love done by a woman of profound talent.

I met Susan at a workshop in Rhinebeck, N.Y and was instantly struck by her inner glow. The radiance of a woman who is grounded and knows the path of a Shaman. How better to portray her inner beliefs than through her art work?

The Shaman's Paintings are a testament not only to a spiritual path but also to one of our finest American women artists.

The path of a Shaman is best expressed by someone like Susan Seddon Boulet as she weaves ancient myth and folklore into beautiful tales on canvas.

A must have.

This is the 6 year I've had a calendar containing the artwork by Susan Seddon Boulet. Although the artist is deceased, her artwork speaks of another world, ancient archtypes, legends and myths. There is always something new in each page of the calendar. Pictures within pictures. Along with each month is a small poem or quote which is appropriate to the picture and very meaningful. If you enjoy shamanism, native american legends, classical mythology, this is a product you should buy.

Susan Seddon Boulet's 72 paintings are bound in this glossy 8 1/2 by 11 paperback volume of SHAMAN. Mixed in with the paintings are beautiful quotations from mixed new age sources.

Her rich naturalistic gifts are apparent as we delve deeply into the mind and spirit of an evocative genius. Boulet, 1941-1997, developed a large body of work, that seems at once familiar, but altogether powerful. Boulet is nature. She weaves the frightful with the majastic; the sublime with the wise.

For anyone who loves art and the mystical/spiritual life, you will instantly recognize Boulet's talent and sophistication. Susan Seddon Boulet speaks to the soul.

I've been a fan of [the late] Susan Seddon Boulet's work for a while. Some of the recent calendars have seemed a bit on the dull side, as if the publishers were stretching to find any bit of lesser-known art, or try to make some kind of themed collection. So I haven't purchased as many SSB items in the past two years as I had before. But this calendar takes us back to the good collections. I am not disappointed and I hope that you will not be either! There are familiar images and less-familiar ones, and all reflect SSB's mastery of multimeda (in the old sense of more than one art medium -- crayon, ink, pencil & paints), dreams, visions & archetypes. Enjoy.

I'm a big fan of Susuan Boulet and was very pleased to see her calendar
avilable this year, her work just embodies the Indian spirit and beliefs and I'll be glad to have her work on my wall for the year.

If you are a fan of Susan Seddon Boulet's work, I would highly recommend this book. The Shaman paintings are moody and moving, and make a wonderful collection of images in this volume. Most of the images are full or nearly full page prints, though there are a handful that the publishers chose to include as smaller vignettes, around 3-4 inches in size. It may be that the print resolution was not high enough to print them any larger, and that is a shame. Boulet's imagery is richly detailed and textured, and the layers of animal and atmospheric elements deserve an expansive space to be appreciated. But the quality of the prints are very good, and overall I love the book. It is truly a picture book of Boulet's shamanistic works - very little text is included. There is a brief introduction about shamanism, and a short bio on Boulet at the end of the book. The rest of the text is sparse, passages from native chants and songs, and only included where they support the artwork. If you want to read more about Boulet, her life and her technique, you won't find it here, but the collection of art and prose makes a strong statement and evokes a feeling of ancient wisdom.

I wasn't familiar with Susan Seddon Boulet's gorgeous art and I'm so thankful that I made this whim purchase a few weeks back. It was on the Josephine Wall recommendations page.
This art may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it sure is mine. Her art looks like every being has a soul coming out and many of her beings are transformed into animals halfway through the picture. I really think her art is one of a kind and special,as well as nicely presented throughout the volume of this book. The book itself is a tightly bound paperback book with very beautiful glossy pages. I have a video that shows what's inside of this book.

Susan's art is phenomenal. Her art lets you look deeper into the spiritual world of a Shaman and much more. l love this calendar and have given it as a gift.

This calendar is just as I expected from Susan Seddon Boulet----- magical, beautiful, inspiring, other worldly! I bought this calendar for myself as a holiday gift and I'm so glad I did. And, as most calendars so, it lets you know when the new and the full moons are. Wonderful purchase!
