This isn't a power class, although a shaman can be quite powerful.

This isn't a class that simply begs, borrows and steals from other classes to make an amalgam. This is a new, unique and interesting class, one that was definitely missing from the spiritual worldview of the d20 universe.

Well-written, intelligent and obviously well-researched, I recommend this book to any players interested in playing a spiritist character and to any DMs looking to add some dimension to their "primitive" or indigeneous cultures.

The book description covers almost everything you need to know, but I wanted to add a quick note: this well-researched and well-written supplement also provides a section on the Dreaming skill and the Dream world, in addition to a Dreamer prestige class. As a DM who has often used dreams in his games, I found this to be of particular interest. Steve Kenson did a fine job and I recommend this book highly.

It is a good book...

Good material for D&D 3.0 (I liked the core class).
The inspirational material presented is good and you can try it at your campaigns.
The prestige classes are average in my opinion.

I liked more "the witch's handbook" and "the secret college of necromancy" books from the same editorial.
