Format: MP3 Music Verified Purchase
I devoted many hours in my youth to Visage releases, repurchasing the cassette releases when the albums became more static than music; albeit then, Visage did not enjoy the longevity deserved, perhaps a new generation will elevate Visage. When Visage's work was re-released, I purchased multiple copies of every CD pressed; especially "The Anvil" with its Helmut Newton cover of Steve Strange. I might very well be up to sixteen copies of that release.

With the 2013 release of "Shameless Fashion", Steve and the current Visage lineup once again demonstrate how undeniably "ahead of their time" Visage were and time has not altered Steve Strange's voice. As I listened to the song; I was incredulous that this was not some undiscovered track from "The Anvil".

For this release, the song has been published with an additional German, French and... Japanese version. Not surprising in the least since "Fade to Grey" was a coalescence of English and French (deux yeux fixes...) and "the Anvil" was released as the Teutonic "Der Amboss".

Without hesitation I purchased this digital release (the only format available as of this writing). Visage should additionally investigate a style referred to as "Future Pop"; an album produced by VNV Nation with guest participation of Chris Pohl (BlutEngel), Eskil Simonsson (Covenant) to create "Monumental Dance" (see Christian Weller and Fritz Graner's "E Nomine") and mixing by Russia's "Mental Discipline" would be quite a release!
