About the Author

J.C. Wilder lives in Columbus, Ohio where she's owned by a Japanese Akita named Severena and a really obnoxious Jack Russell Terrier named Copper Penny. She spends the majority of her time dusting her 6,000 books and staring at her blank computer screen in complete terror.

After six years working for CompuServe Inc., she's working as a Business Analyst for the State of Ohio. When not writing, she devotes much of her time to studying the medicinal uses of herbs and essential oils and howling at the moon.

SHAMELESS is the extraordinary novel by J. C. Wilder about a wounded woman's growth into power and beauty. Although SHAMELESS is the third part of a series, reading it without reading its predecessors isn't a problem. SHAMELESS creates a world of mystery and magnetism that mesmerizes the reader.

Eighteen years ago, a madman kidnapped, raped, and carved up model Erihn Spencer, leaving her for dead. While she physically survived her injuries, her emotional scarring surpassed her traumatic physical scarring. Raped at the age of seventeen, Erihn harbors a fear of all men and allows none near her. The time spent at the mercy of a maniac who kidnapped, tortured and then raped her, has left Erihn very cautious of the opposite sex.

Now, years later, Erihn has earned a name for herself as a romance writer and leads a quiet life. With an established career and a group of friends, she feels her life is complete - nothing lacking. Or so it is until she meets the mysteriously sexy Fayne at her birthday celebration. This gorgeous man with amethyst eyes, disturbs her, making her feel things she doesn't want to feel. His kiss and her response to him leave her confused and she is compelled to escape to a friend's mountain retreat where she wants to concentrate on her current novel about a "were-cat". However, Fate is not on her side. Once there, she finds Fayne is a guest at the retreat also. Distraught and horrified, she tries to flee once more, only to be hampered by the brewing storm.

Fayne is deeply attracted to Erihn and feels she desires him just as much, but he realizes he must gain her trust. Fayne has found his mate and intends to keep her! To make things more complicated, he has deep secrets of his own, enemies of his own.

JC Wilder has done an exceptional job telling this tale. The third in the series of her `Shadow Dwellers', SHAMELESS will leave her fans spellbound. Her characters are well developed and imaginative with interesting backgrounds. The passion and sexual tension sizzles, while the paranormal suspense has the reader turning the pages right to the end. Wilder has created an interesting story with captivating elements and characters. Her style of writing is easy, her talent exceptional. SHAMELESS is an enticing tale her fans will simply find a joy to read!
