Eric Van Lustbader is the author of more than twenty-five best-selling novels, including The Ninja, a New York Times bestseller for 24 weeks, in which he introduced Nicholas Linnear, one of modern fictions most beloved and enduring heroes. His New York Times bestselling novel, "The Testament," was published in September, 2006 and in paperback in August, 2007.
His novels have been translated into over twenty languages; his books are best-sellers worldwide and are so popular whole sections of bookstores from Bangkok to Dublin are devoted to them. The Ninja was sold to 20th Century-Fox. It is now in pre-production.
Mr. Lustbader is a graduate of Columbia College, with a degree in Sociology. Jake Maroc has been subjected to the mutilation of his wife, daughter and now his father. He must return to a place to recover his strength to carry on and fight his oppressors......whoever they are. Following this is a tale of the workings of Hong Kong and it's neighbours. Add in the interest of the KGB, Communist China and a private vendetta and you will have an understanding of the complex plot in this novel.

Jake Maroc's family have had it rough, and this has been rough on him. He decides to get back into the spirit of the whole martial arts thing, rather than using it to take out ganglords.

Not going to be that easy though, as there are still spies, communists and other undersirables around to be dealth with.
