McAnally at his best,

Finally the CD see's the light of day. It has been a long time, two years to be exact since the world first heard "Say Anything". The new disc has lots to offer. Five of the songs were on disc prior to the release of the CD. Say Anything was the first single, Are Your Eyes Still Blue was the second, which had If It's Over as the b-side, then there was Run Away, with the b-side of Little Imperfections. Imperfections is by far the best song on the album. Even though all the rest are a close second. Great disc and a good buy.

I think that this is one of the best CD's that I've heard in a long time! Shane McAnally should be at the top, and I haven't even seen one of his videos, yet. He is so talented, and wrote almost every song on this CD. Although "Runaway" is my favorite song on the CD, I truly love all the songs, the whole CD is fantastic! My highest recommendations! I can't wait until he releases his next CD.....and hopefully some videos, too :) Keep up the good work, Shane, as there are those, like me, who stand up and take notice to great talent :)

I absolutely loved this CD! Two years worth the wait!,

I purchased this CD at a Wal-Mart a couple days back. I had already heard his first three singles, "Say Anything", "Are Your Eyes Still Blue", and "Run Away", all great songs, I already knew I was buying a good album. "Run Away" was a failure (undeservedly) on the charts, but it was the best song on this album, at least in my opinion. But there are other good songs besides the three singles. There are plenty of other good songs, like "Definition Of Love", "I Could Have Told You That", "If It's Over", and "Wait Till I Get My Hands On You". "Little Imperfections" was pretty good too. The only song that I liked least was "It Comes and It Goes" because it was just too slow, but it still is good. Good debut from Shane McAnally. I hope he lasts long enough to have a second album. For those who haven't bought this album, buy it. It is well worth the 12-15 dollars.

Shane's Biggest Fan,

I think this CD is FABULOUS. Shane has a mix of upbeat as well as some nice slow, love songs. This CD is a MUST for any country music fan. It Comes and It Goes is a great song that I'm sure many people who have lost that certain love can relate to! Shane is a great artist and I would absolutely reccomend this CD to anyone!

"Say Anything" You Want, But McAnally Is a "Runaway" Success,

With the number of new country artists that enter the scene every year, it is only understandable that a handful are bound to get lost in the shuffle; unfortunately, that is what seems to have happened to Shane McAnally. By all means of logic, McAnally should currently be at the top of the game, not to mention the charts, having already produced what should have three blockbuster singles. However, for some perplexing reason, his music has not garnered all the accolades it should be, and it is certainly through no fault of the artist. McAnally's debut is strong from start to finish. Songs such as "Runaway" easily display his pre-disposition toward radio-ready pop while such offerings as "It Comes and It Goes" remind the listener why he is, indeed, a country artist. Hopefully, Nashville wakes up to the immense talent McAnally possess. His album is certainly a must buy.

This is a great CD! I think it's a shame we had to wait so long to have it. Shane should re-release those singles like "Say Anything" and "Run Away". I know lots of people liked the songs but when they couldn't buy the music anywhere they became discouraged. I don't know what the problem was in getting this CD released but the music industry needs to take note: they let this artist down! I highly recommend this CD.

Album should've been more successful,

I always wondered why Shane McAnally didn't attain more success. He had the right package, and the initial singles releases ("Are Your Eyes Still Blue," "Say Anything" and "Run Away") were very radio-friendly. In fact, "Are Your Eyes Still Blue" is still one of my favorite songs. Honestly, I didn't even know he came out with the album; I thought it was the three singles and that was it. Overall, a commendable debut.

He's got the looks. He can hit the high notes. He can sing ballads and upbeat songs. He writes most of his own stuff. Why have I only heard his songs on the radio all of twice? The first song I ever heard of Shane's was "Say Anything". I pirated his album off Napster the next night. I loved his album so much that I actually bought a hard copy later on. And when that CD was smashed, I bought another.
I absolutely love 10 of the 12 songs on this album (and that's saying something)! "Little Imperfections" has to be my favorite. It has a rockin' beat and you gotta love the lyrics, "Well, my ladder of success, has got a few rungs missin'. And even when I look my best, looks like I'm goin' fishin'." I'd recommend this album to any fan of music. I hope he releases another. |
