Shane Minor, who could very well be the new "male sex symbol" of country music, has earned five stars in my book for his self-titled debut album!! Shane presents a great mix of upbeat tunes and ballads, although I like his faster stuff better. "Slave to the Habit" is such a catchy song, that you are singing along to by the second chorus, and you find yourself tapping your foot to. The second track, "Ordinary Love" is also pretty catchy. Other recommended tracks are "Tell Me Now", "A Girl Like That" and "True to You". The songs on this album are written by some of Nashville's best.

The bottom line is that Shane Minor is a star in the making.

This album has only one really good song. He need to put more country in his music and not try to change country. We (the fans)know what we want and artist need to learn they aren't going to change what we like.

I saw Shane perform as the opening act for Shania Twain's concert in Richmond and really enjoyed several of his songs and his performance style. Even though he is known for his "kicky" and upbeat country tunes, I really like his ballads best -- "I Think You're Beautiful" and "Change Your Mind" are great tunes. Look forward to Shane visiting Virginia again!
