So many variations to play!,

First you have to like this sort of game and have the patience to play it. Then you have to like variety. You can not only chose the type of tiles (fantasy, cultures, children's) but also which layout you want to you. There are dozens and dozens of combinations to chose from. If you win, then you see a little animation that fits with the type of tiles you've played with. Its a relaxing game that you don't even need to be skilled at -- you can always use the "find match" button if you need help.

This game has been my all time favorite. When my original disc became corrupted, I started searching for a replacement. Activision said they had discontinued it and no replacements were available.
When I found this game in Amazon, I was delighted. It is the closest thing to actually playing the original game as played in the Mahjongg parlors in China and Japan. You can choose which game you want to play. The Chinese game goes fast and is easy to play. The tiles are clear and easy to read. The Western version is different and provides an alternative way of playing. You can choose the difficulty of play so you can increase your own skills. If you just want a simple tile matching game you can also do that. Most of the other Mahjongg games are just that. Tile matching. There is another online Mahjongg game from Japan that you can download but if you can't read Japanese, you don't know what's going on and is not near as much fun as Shanghai Dynasty. When Shanghai first came out, you could sign online and play with other people. I miss that but this is still my favorite game over all others.

This is the real Mah Jongg, not just tile matching. I love this game. One note, you must download a patch to fix a scoring glitch.

Arrived in time for Christmas. My wife loves it and spends free time playing (it relaxes her). I was hoping to find a copy of this older game and Amazon came through. I play it too! Thanks!
