Robert Lyons teaches this particular crane form and explains the self defense applications of each movement (by using the technique on another person). He carefully explains the position of each part of the body and how to move from one stance to the next. He explains where the power is coming from with each movement, where to place your weight, etc., in other words there is a lot of material here that will help you learn the form and translate it into self defense.
