A toe-tapping good workout,
By A Customer
This review is from: Shape Fitness Music - Walk 1: '60s Hits (Audio CD)
Two 30 minute workouts take you back to the days of Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye, and Mockingbird. A great way for beginners to get walking, even if you start with the Harlem Shuffle! And, since there are full-workouts on each side, you don't have to listen to the same thing every time. This should be every new exerciser's "new year's resolution"

Shape Fitness Music - Walk 1: '60s Hits,

The music on this CD is great for treadmill walking as well as outdoor walking. The songs are suited to a walking pace and lively. Most songs are so familiar you are encouraged to sing along which makes exercise more fun. The pace is good for beginners in the 3 mph range, and are not too fast to add hand weights and still keep up. The only changes I would sugggest is adding a third workout, as the other two are only 20 minutes and adding a cue when one workout starts and the next begins, to give enough time to get off your treadmill to switch or stop the CD before it goes into the next workout.

Fun-loaded Energy,

The music, tempo (at 3 miles/hour)on this tape is tremendous and I highly recommend this title to anyone even contemplating a brisk walk workout. The music of the 60's (original music and artists) including the Beach Boys, Jackie DeShannon, The Impressions, Everly Brothers, is geared for singing and almost dancing along with during your walking workout. This music energizes, stirs endorphins and gives a really good time to the point that you won't want to stop. I normally enjoy a walk at about 4 miles p/hour and although this music is a bit slower than that, I love this tape. I started out to walk just 30 minutes but went the entire hour then turned the tape back to start and continued on... Buy it!

Great Beginner's Workout,

A nice, gentle workout for beginners. A strong, sustained beat to great music. The songs are seamlessly tied together so that not a beat is lost going from one piece to another. The quality of the recordings is great. Altogether, well worth the price.

I got this walking CD as a Christmas present for someone who enjoys using her treadmill for fitness. Because it was a used copy, I said,"Well, why not give it a listen! She'll never know!" it was SO GREAT! I never expected it to be original artists, so that was a WONDERFUL surprise! It goes on and on and on......I think I'd fall off the treadmill from exhaustion.......but this is GOOD, because you can do, say, a 20 minute walk and then listen from a different point the next day.By the way, the gift recipient totally loves it and listens to it in the CAR, as well!!!

Unprofessional,

This review is from: Shape Fitness Music - Walk 1: '60s Hits (Audio CD)
I was a bit dissatisfied initially and still now, after having played and walked to the music in Shape Fitness Music - Walk 1 60's. First, the audio quality is generally poor (not up to the level of the original recordings at all). Second, the individual songs are regularly cut short at the end, which annoys me because it's disruptive to my pace. Also, not all the songs are synchronized to the same beat, so if you play the music in random order, you have a problem of slower rhythms following faster rhythms. I will not purchase another Shape Fitness Music product because of this experience. The product is far too costly for the quality level anyway!
