Makeover Your Abs, Butt, and Thighs-FAST! Is a challenging yet doable 30-minute Pilates workout that targets those common trouble zones that every single one of us enounters at some time in our lives. In just a matter of weeks you'll see your body redefined: You'll get flat abs, a firm butt; and lean, shapely thighs. You'll also feel stronger-and look slimmer-as you learn to activate your core (your abs as well as the musclesthat surround your spine), which is the basis of all Pilates movement. And thanks to the FREE resistance band included with this DVD, each and every move becomes even more powerful and effective. You can't help but tone up.

Customer Reviews

I have always wanted to try pilates, and this was a great way to start.

I can't tell for sure if these moves made me sore because I was already sore from another workout.

I highly recommend this if you want to mix up your normal Pilates workout.

i bought this because i need another workout to rotate with my denise austin's hit the spots pilates (which i love too). this caught my attention in that it includes a resistance band, is from shape, and support breast cancer at the same time.

i do not regret the purchase at all! i tried it for the first time last night and LOVE IT!

it's 30 minutes of abs, thighs, and buns workout that you can definitely feel even if you work out daily. the addition of the resistance band give your core the much needed extra push that really burns your abs, thighs and butts.

it includes a 10 minutes bonus upper body sculpting that use the resistance too.

i'm not a beginner but neither am i an intermediate and this work out is not hard to do at all, yet very effective. it was, in fact, very enjoyable. all the moves are done in a way that i do not find boring. i can see myself working out to this everyday.

if this workout doesn't give you results, i do not know what to say. i know that if i keep doing this dvd, i'll shrink my abs and thighs.

this has just become my favorite pilates workout! yippee!!

Shape Pilates Workout: Makeover Your Your Abs, Butt and Thighs Fast!

I have another Lizbeth Garcia's Pilates DVD and because i liked that one so much, i bought this one. I have to say i wasn't impressed with this DVD. There is more emphasis on the thighs and a little bit on the butt, but there is not much for the abs. There are also two girls doing the workout with her but you can see how they start to sham towards the end. I recommend her "Pilates on the ball" DVD more than this one: )

This is a great workout and goes by quickly. I wasn't sure at first about the band, but I think it helps! This really focuses on your but and thighs though. I wouldn't mind a little more ab and arm workout too. But I still love it.

Not very often am I led astray by fellow Amazon reviewers, but this time the general consensus let me down! I was very disappointed by this video. Let me start off by saying that for the last 4 months I have been working out 4-5 times per week with Jackie Warner's Workout video, which is pretty intense. Having said that, perhaps my muscles are really toned and built up already. But I did not feel ANYTHING with this DVD. I mean, nothing at all. The "band" that comes with it is ridiculous. It added no tension at all to the workout for me, in fact it just got in the way. I used to do the Winsor Pilates on a pretty regular basis a few years ago, so I am familiar with Pilates, although to be honest, I've never gotten very toned from it. I feel like I need weights and squats and lunges to be toned...which I hate!!! But seriously...I felt absolutely nothing at all doing this exercise. It was really surprising to me! And the instructor's voice is very annoying. I'm disappointed it didn't work out, because I was really looking forward to it. Oh well!

I love this DVD. The one thing I realized while doing this routine is that you must make sure your abs are engaged and everything is controlled. If that is done, I can see how the abs, butt and thighs are all being worked. I know I felt it all over just from keeping proper form while performing the exercises. I also noticed that this routine has the strength, flexibility, toning and stretching elements all wrapped up into one workout so you feel worked out and relaxed also. I highly recommend this DVD.

I am not new to pilates. I love pilates but have been using to the Denise Austin book. In this dvd there were a few moves I was not familar with and I felt I would of been able to preform those moves better with a clear explation how to before doing the exercise. I can't tell for sure if these moves made me sore because I was already sore from another workout. But I did feel a burn during the laying leg work. I felt there were some good basic core moves and some good leg exercises but there could of been more reps. There was no cool down and stretching segment so be prepared to go it alone. The dvd was good but not great. If there were concise instructions and/or demonstrations I would of given it a better review. I am going to continue to use this on my strength training days but for toning alone I don't feel this is strong enough.

The use of the band in the DVD really adds to the workout. It really takes the monotony out of your basic pilates moves. She also modifies some reformer moves by using the band. And wow does this DVD ever work out your lower half! I didn't get quite the workout for my abs I was hoping for but it still got the job done. Also modifications for lower intensity were offered which were great when I was just starting to use this DVD...thanks for having that in there. I would strongly recommend adding the DVD to anyone's home workout routine.

I have a bunch of the Shape workout DVDs and am pleased with them all. This one is no exception. It was very effective on the thighs and butt. The instruction is clear and easy to follow but it is fast paced. The beginning took me by suprise as there is no intro or warm up. The bonus upper body workout is amazingly effective. The first time my arms felt like rubber afterwards. I highly recommend this if you want to mix up your normal Pilates workout.
