Each couple is warned of danger signals, and a suggested general focus for growth in the relationship. Advice for the uncommitted rounds out the book.

Betsey Bittlingmaier, Ph.D. holds a doctorate from Fordham University. She practiced psychology in New York for over twenty years before moving to Bucks County, PA where she and her husband have an old stone farmhouse near New Hope.

This book is truly a guide to a better understanding of myself and my husband. It answers a lot of the "whys" in our relationship and our responses to one another in the every day things. It is creating a softening of attitudes and acceptance of each others differences. Dr. Bittlingmaier's insights and examples are helpful in other relationships as well. Her down to earth touch and humor make this an exceptional book, a gem, not to be missed!

Dr. Bittlingmaier's writing is clear, easy and often humourous. Her use of literary names for personality types provide good handles. Her narratives illustrating the inter-relationships of types are engagingly drawn. The result: the material is surpisingly accessible, considering the number of combinations and the complexity of the material.

This book's usefulness can extend beyond the sphere of marriage. It's an appropriate and useful tool for making sense out of any important relationship.

Eceptionally well written, easy to understand, and right ont he money as far as assessing personalities and so forth. This book really makes you look at relationships and your own personality much differently. Recommended highly from a long-suffering relationship junkie!
