I love tennis and always have, so I can appreciate the champion that Martina is. Her career is choc-full of trophies from so many victories - a feet that is impossible to achieve if you aren't in shape. Some players today may not put the gym work into the behind-the-scenes aspect of their careers and therefore will not have the staying power or stamina to pull of matches like Martina. For this reason, I trust what she says in her new book. It's interesting to see all the work that goes on after they leave the court and it's a constant process. Not only do they have to workout and lift weights, but they need to be so mindful of their diets. Here are all Martina's 'secrets' on how she has made her career last so long - when so many of her peers have long ago retired. She is a funny lady and she uses some of her humour to make this interesting and not like a big lecture. Their are recipes and exercise do's and don'ts that she does and the information is so helpful because it comes from someone you know you can trust. She knows what she's talking about and I highly recommend this to absolutely everyone whether you need to get in shape or not - we can all become a little healthier as a result. Great book.

I found this book to be very informative, inspirational, and do-able. Basically, you have to be open-minded to change with respect to diet and lifestyle. But nothing in this book requires drastic change, extreme work-outs, or pressure. On the contrary, Martina encourages readers to gradually adopt changes to your diet and physical activity levels for improved health and fitness. What inspired me to buy this book, as opposed to other work-out books, is Martina, herself. I am 46 years old and have struggled with being out of shape, feeling run down, and basically wanting a better and more healthier lifestyle for myself for awhile now. Martina is living proof that at any age you are never too old to feel better and to be the best you can be. I figure if she can do, so can I. Thanks Martina.

This is a very effective book for living a healthy and fit life. Martina did a great job with this. The functional exercises that she includes are well-researched and state of the art. I enjoy them and I think they are more effective than what one finds in other books and fitness magazines. Great job, Martina!

I am a former triathlete and was getting stale with my normal weight and cardio routine. Her exercises are great and seem to be working very well for me. The recipes are also wonderful and a great way to get out of my old rut.

This is probably the best food and fitness book I have ever purchased, and I have bought a lot of them.

Since I was a kid I have admired what an incredible athlete Martina is. She has remained lean and in fantastic shape throughout her career, so we should learn and apply what she shares with us in her book.

In this book she combines a very smart and balanced approach to fitness. She believes like I do, that by eating wholesome foods you not only fuel the body for optimal athletic performance, but that this energy and power "translates" over into the real world.

This book is really about creating a new inside for you. Martina's book is not for those looking for a quick fix, or a magic pill. She has laid out a very sound plan to set goals, stay on track, and very importantly, make these changes for YOU.

You'll find a full month of healthy meal plans, plus many fun exercises which can be preformed with minimal equipment.

I admire Martina's desire that we build our bodies in a healthy and strong manner so that we can make a positive impact in the world. This is so much more important to me rather than just working out to get a "tighter butt", or similar superficial results.

Thanks Martina for sharing with us a little of what has made you a champion.

I love this book. I have been following her food program now for two weeks and the recipes are delicious! I'll admit that I am a vegetarian and was already into eating organic before I bought this book, so it was easier for me to adapt, but I have learned many new things and ways to enjoy vegetables and fruits. There has not been one single recipe that I haven't loved yet!

Her exercise program has been good for me. Again, I was already an experienced exerciser before I bought the book, but it has helped me to "freshen up" my workouts, which I sorely needed. I recommend it highly BECAUSE it shows you different levels of exercise based upon your experience.

I also like her holistic approach to fitness. Good health is so much more than just exercising and eating right and Martina does a good job of helping us to think about other aspects of our lives that might be out-of-whack and could be sabotaging our health. She believes in a common sense approach to fitness that is all about health, rather than being unrealistically thin or having visible rear delts. She has a wonderful and warm writing style and her humor and personality come out very strongly.

A great read and a wonderful program! This is a winner!

This is such a excellent book - It takes into consideration the holistic approach to body, health and fitness! And how many fitness books can you call a "great read" that is well rounded, informative and gives me great recipes to boot. I have decided it is the most useful Christmas gift to give!!
