5.0 out of 5 stars I refer back to this book often
This book contains great information and advice on how to authentically interact with a teenager while in the role of mentor. There are also three chapters at the end of the book that deal with teen social, spiritual, emotional, etc. development. A wonderful book for people who want to fulfill the axiom, "it takes a village to raise a child".

3.0 out of 5 stars youth minister's point of view
This is a good read. It is pretty common sense and those of us that have many years invested in youth ministry will find it full of reminders that we tend to forget ona day to day basis. Good reading for a newbie as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Resource for Youth Workers, October 5, 2005

I don't think I could recommend this book enough for my fellow youth workers. The book covers a great deal in it's 251 pages. The book is a good mixture of challenging ideas and refreshing stories from one of the larger names in youth ministry. Check out this book if you are looking for a quality resource about leading students into a meaningful relationship with God.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must Have, February 6, 2007
This review is from: Shaping the Spiritual Life of Students: A Guide for Youth Workers, Pastors, Teachers & Campus Ministers (Paperback)
This book is an absolute must have for anyone who even knows an adolescent anywhere from Middle school through college. I had to read it for a youth ministry class & it still was the best book I have read in my entire college career. Dunn has tremendous insight & gives wonderful practical advice on how to approach problems within working with adolescents. Buy one for yourself & one for anyone else you know that works with students!
