Although the sled was not shipped in a box (the packing slip and UPS label were stuck to the outside of the sled) and the UPS driver left it on my front porch to fill up with snow, the sled was just what my dad wanted for hauling his ice fishing supplies.

I purchased this for the ease of bringing a lot of things onto the ice in one trip from the car. I've usually got a child in tow with me on these ice fishing adventures and this sled has been great. I can load it up with all the gear and food for the day and drag it onto the ice with little effort. Even my child fits in it with all the gear in there, too.

I've only used it for ice fishing, but I know of others who use the same sled for hauling wood and animals on a hunt. They have bought pads for the bottom of their sleds. I may do that for just the ice, too.
