Book Description

From New York Times bestselling author Yasmine Galenorn comes "Ice Shards," a passionate story of redemption long overdue, and "Shattered," an all-new, never before published short story.

Finnish house sprite Iris Kuusi has fallen in love again. But she is carrying a dark secret. Now, she must journey to the frozen Northlands to confront the shadow of her former lover who haunts her dreams, and to discover, once and for all, whether she actually committed the horrible crime for which she was cast out. Only by breaking a curse she’s been under since her youth, can she free herself to embrace the love waiting for her at home.

Includes a preview of Haunted Moon, the new Otherworld novel.

"Ice Shards" previously appeared in the anthology Hexed.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful addition to the series December 25, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was a long overdue story, the details of what happened to Iris that left her cursed & cast out. As always, I enjoyed the story, the characters, and would have loved to have it even longer than it was.

Since this is such a good series, and contains very detailed connected stories, I would recommend starting at the first book and working your way through them. Even though there are only the three Sisters, that are the recurring main characters, there are new introductions in each story and challenges that they face, continuing and anew.

As always, I can't wait for the next book in the series which I believe is released in February 2013!!! Enjoy!! :)

I loved Iris' tale of how she struggled to try and redeem herself of the accusation that she murdered her fiance several hundred years before. Her tale of overcoming guilt and shame to find the truth and ultimately her future is a moving one. I'm so glad I stopped in the series to read this novella.

This is a great novella. I've gotten behind it the other world series and this a great incentive to get back to it.

Yasmine Galenorn finally gives us some insight into one of the other characters in her Otherworld series with "Ice Shards", which tells the story of how the D'Artigo sisters' housekeeper Iris lost her standing as a Priestess of Undutar, expelled from her temple for a murder she may or may not have committed. Her search for the truth leads her and her companions to the domain of Howl, the Winter Wolf Spirit, and also back in time 600 years to the love affair that ended so disastrously for her. The download also includes the short story "Shattered", reliving the night when a newly-turned Menolly first returned home, with bloodlust on her mind and Camille in her sights. A nice little treat from the Otherworld.

Jasmine is a magnificent author and this as with her other Novell's truly fills in the gaps on the characters.
