5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant noise., August 23, 1999

If you know anything about anything, you'd know that godheadSilo are a duo from Olympia, WA, transplanted from Fargo, ND, and a loud and huge and crunchy, despite the lack of a guitar player. That and they probably drink 3 liters of Mountain Dew each per day.

That's not important.

What is important, is that here godheadSilo graft their bowel loosening noise with rock-solid melodies. The result is close to that of a more melodic Unsane. My favorite record of last year. godheadSilo could be coming close to being the Husker Du or Joy Division of fuzz-bass noise rock. The songs are that good.

I don't care what anybody says; this is my favorite GHS record. It's metal as hell and mike's vocals remind me in a very good way of early today is the day. Absolutely devastating tracks are; Nap Attack, Braincloud, Time to Feed the Pythons...they're all pretty damn great....

5.0 out of 5 stars A subwoofer's worst nightmare, September 4, 1999

I saw Mike with his other band, Enemymine, the other day and they rocked. I originally went to see Verbena, but Enemymine was much better. Anyhow, I found out that they were similar to his other band, godheadSilo. I bought this cd, today, and realize that this is some of the most ominous, beautiful, and devestating music ever recorded. It is absolutely gorgeous and loud as hell. If that appeals to you, then buy this and Enemymine's Ep as soon as possible. Be prepared to damage your ears, windows, and stereo and have a great time at it.
