Most Helpful Customer Reviews

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful By Jana E. McNulty on April 1, 2011
The gifts described in SHARE THE INHERITANCE are woven into a wonderful tapestry of inspiring ideas. With its unique, compelling, inviting, and important subject matter, this book changed my life's outlook. SHARE THE INHERITANCE captured my attention and made me feel much better for having read it. I intend to share it with my grown daughters.

I found the book's description of early British and American history very revealing of the courage of British and Americans who established gifts such as freedom, honesty and trust, servant leadership, the right to self-defense and representative government. Magna Carta and the free economy are gifts shared by all of us. Therefore, SHARE THE INHERITANCE should appeal to both British and American readers.

I read this book in two days. I particularly enjoyed its images, which illuminate the gifts of the Inheritance. The images and artwork are informative, intriguing, and at times very beautiful. I also highly recommend this book for children. Reading to a child, I would read the book slowly, spending time on gifts such as the link between freedom and friendship, the influence of sports on developing equality of opportunity, Christian and classical powers that help us to thrive, and the healing which comes from forgiveness. The book's Study Guide is a boon for parents or readers' clubs.

Catherine and David Abbot are captivating non-fiction authors who have written a non-fiction book in an imaginative way. She is a writer and editor. He is a doctor. SHARE THE INHERITANCE is a gem of a book and a must-read.
